Classical Conversations Time Line review. This week we learned events from the birth of Jesus to AD 320. All while dressed as an as astronaut cowboy…homeschooling rocks! In acknowledgement of Columbus Day on Monday, we had the three Spanish ships with a side of salsa 🙂 For History, we learned our memory sentence: “The War of 1812 gave confidence to the U.S. to write the Monroe Doctrine, warning Europeans not to attempt to colonize the Americans.” Here are our History library books for the week. We also learned about Paul Jennings, President Madison’s slave, his involvement in the war and his involvement as a free man in helping to free slaves.
